  • Registration Closed

Book Talk Description

From hunger strikes to massive parades, the American women’s suffrage movement grabbed the attention of citizens and politicians around the United States. Today, countless museums, libraries, universities, and historic sites care for the objects and places that tell the story of suffrage. From posters and lapel buttons, to luncheonette plates and banners, the history of the movement is embodied in a wide variety of artifacts that have stood the test of time. Join AASLH author, and Minnetrista VP of Collections and Storytelling, Jessica D. Jenkins, as she shares some of the stories found on the pages of her recent book, "Exploring Women’s Suffrage Through 50 Historic Treasures."
