Live Webinar: Navigating Nomenclature: Using the New Online Resource for Museum Cataloging

  • Registration Closed

Webinar Description

What is Nomenclature for Museum Cataloging, and how can I use it? Join two members of the AASLH Nomenclature Task Force as they give an overview of the Nomenclature system (for example, purpose, structure and cataloging conventions) and a demonstration of the key features of the online resource (including search, browse, download, and integration with museum software). A lot has changed since the 1978 publication of Nomenclature - it's now a freely available, bilingual and illustrated resource, available as Linked Open Data and maintained through a collaborative effort of AASLH, Canadian Heritage Information Network (CHIN), and Parks Canada. Learn about plans for Nomenclature's future and how you can help Nomenclature develop to meet the needs of museums!
