Course Description
In this course, students will be introduced to best business practices for inclusive workplaces. This takes a deep dive into the background and need for inclusivity through diversity and equitable efforts, road map for business development, and implementation strategies.This course will also discuss the corporate benefits and advantages of DEI programs and initiates and assist with benchmark development for success metrics.
Online self-paced, broken into sections expected to be done over 5 weeks approximately 7-8 hours of work per week. While the course is self-paced, we have broken the learning down into 5 modules. Each module will contain a brief introductory presentation, readings and/or videos, journal entries, assignments and a video presentation. You will only be graded on the assignments and presentation, but you will have unlimited attempts to pass them. The course focuses more on an introspective dive into leadership and how the students can develop as leaders.

OPEN REGISTRATION: October 1, 2023 - January 5, 2024; 30 participant limit. Courses typically fill up before the registration deadline, so register early.
Course Logistics
FORMAT: Online, Instructor-led, Weekly-paced course
LENGTH: 5 weeks
PARTICIPATION: Students should expect to spend approximately 5-7 hours per week on brief introductory presentations, readings and/or videos, journal entries, assignments and a video presentation.
TECHNOLOGY: Participants will need access to internet and a desktop computer, laptop, or tablet to participate in this course.

Cancellation/Refunds for onsite workshops must be submitted in writing via email to learn@aaslh.org or mail to 2021 21st Ave S., Suite 320 Nashville, TN 37212. Cancellations made prior to the early-bird registration deadline date will receive a full refund. Cancellations made between the early-bird deadline date and eight days prior to the workshop will be subject to a $55 processing/materials charge. No refunds will be given within seven days of the workshop date. AASLH is not responsible for cancellations that were mailed or emailed but never received.
