Session Description

Can Organizations Center Untapped Communities in Their Volunteer Strategy? is a Pre-Recorded session of the 2021 AASLH Online Conference.

Inspired by the prompt “Can organizations center untapped communities in their volunteer strategy?”, history professionals will work together interactively to examine the way their organizations think about volunteering and develop new ideas and solutions for volunteer engagement that strive for racial equity and inclusion in their recruitment and management practices.
